Mr Warwick Wright

Mr Warwick Wright is a highly qualified Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in the comprehensive management of upper limb conditions, with a particular focus on the hand, shoulder, and elbow. He is dedicated to providing patient-centred care, utilising both advanced surgical and non-surgical techniques to restore function and alleviate pain. His clinical practice encompasses a broad range of treatments, from arthroscopic procedures to complex joint reconstructions, ensuring that each patient receives a tailored treatment plan designed to achieve the best possible outcome.

With a deep interest in reconstructive surgery for arthritic conditions, Mr Wright has extensive experience in managing rotator cuff disease, shoulder arthritis, and complex shoulder instability, particularly in younger patients. He has pioneered innovative techniques for treating basal arthritis of the thumb and remains actively involved in clinical research. His research efforts focus on cutting-edge technologies aimed at extending the functional lifespan of shoulder prostheses, as well as ongoing studies in hand anatomy and hand arthritis surgery. He also has a special interest in treating complex upper limb injuries in athletes, performing artists, and musicians.

Mr Wright completed his medical education at the University of Melbourne, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. He subsequently undertook specialist training to obtain his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Orthopaedic Surgery. To further his expertise, he completed a Diploma in Anatomy from the Anatomical Society of Australia and New Zealand, a Diploma in Computer Science from La Trobe University, and was admitted as a Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association. He is a Past President of the Victorian Shoulder and Elbow Society and maintains active memberships with the Shoulder and Elbow Society of Australia, the Australian Hand Surgery Society, the British Society for Surgery of the Hand, and the AFL Doctors Association.
