Dr Geoffrey Tymms is an experienced foot and ankle orthopaedic surgeon with specialist expertise in ankle reconstructive surgery. He graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Melbournein 1995 and completed his orthopaedic training in Melbourne. In 2005, he was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and is also a Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association.
Dr Tymms has a particular interest in both sporting and non-sporting foot and ankle injuries, offering comprehensive care for a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. His expertise includes sporting ankle ligament injuries, ankle ligament reconstruction surgery, the management of ankle arthritis with ankle replacement surgery, flatfoot and foot deformity correction.
He is highly skilled in advanced procedures such as ankle arthroscopy, Achilles tendon repair and reconstruction, tibialis posterior tendon surgery, and ankle reconstructions and replacement. With a strong focus on restoring mobility and function, Dr Tymms combines surgical precision with an individualised approach to patient care, helping patients return to sport, work, and everyday activities with confidence.
