Dr Vanessa Brooks

Dr Vanessa Brooks is a dedicated and reassuring General Paediatrician who provides comprehensive care for children from infancy through to adolescence. With a warm and family-centred approach, Dr Brooks is committed to supporting parents through the rewarding yet challenging journey of raising children, helping every child to thrive. She has a strong clinical focus on neonatal care and newborn health, ensuring that the youngest patients receive the best possible start in life.

In addition to general paediatric medicine, Dr Brooks has a particular interest in infant feeding and breastfeeding support, holding additional qualifications as a Lactation Consultant. Her clinical expertise also encompasses neonatal medicine, child development, and sleep and behaviour concerns. Furthermore, she is highly skilled in managing paediatric allergic conditions and neonatal skin conditions, offering tailored management plans to address the unique health and developmental needs of each child.

Dr Brooks completed her Bachelor of Science at the University of Adelaide in 1998, followed by her postgraduate Bachelors of Medicine and Surgery at Flinders University of South Australia in 2002. She undertook her extensive paediatric training across several major metropolitan and regional hospitals in South Australia. In 2011, she was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in Paediatrics, reflecting her high standard of clinical expertise and dedication to the field of paediatric medicine.
