Dr Rajanayagam completed his medical degree at the University of Queensland in 2006 followed by his paediatric training and advanced training in gastroenterology in leading tertiary hospitals across both Australia and New Zealand. He was awarded his Fellowship in the Paediatric and Child Health Division of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2014. He later completed a 2-year fellowship in liver and intestinal transplants in the UK. Dr Rajanayagam's passion for child health also led him to pursue medical fieldwork in Egypt, India, East Africa and the Torres Strait.
Dr Rajanayagam has clinical interests in all areas of paediatric gastroenterology, including: coeliac disease, inflammatory bowel disease, acute & chronic liver disease, chronic abdominal pain and constipation.
Alongside his clinical work as a consultant, he is actively involved in research investigating the immune mechanisms of liver disease at the Royal Children's Hospital, in collaboration with the University of Melbourne and the Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunology.

inadequate correspondence with referring doctor, wait time for review appointments is unacceptable , unable to communicate with him outside appointments, makes us feels not adequately cared for overall

Cannot recommend more highly. Absolutely hands down the best person I have dealt with regarding my 7 month old and he has seen many doctors and paediatricians throughout hospital admissions. Dr Jeremy actually listened to us, asked questions to come up with the best plan moving forward. 10/10. We have been visiting him for 4 months now and I have a completely didn’t baby that’s thriving.

Jeremy is excellent with children and explains things to them in language they can understand, putting their mind at ease. He takes the time to get to know them and creates a welcoming environment.

Fantastic not only at his job, but also his bedside manner with patients who are nervous. Never once made us feel like we were making things up and got to the source of the issues.

You will not find a better expert in their field. He knows it all and he's got the best skills to deal with children and parents. I've never met a Dr so natural with children.

We can't recommend Jeremy highly enough. He is a very caring, personable and very passionate doctor and a great communicator - with sick kids and their parents asking many questions! He challenges himself to find the best possible outcome in a caring and positive manner. Throughout our journey there have been many lows, challenges and frustrations but Jeremy has the ability to address each situation and in our case, achieve positive results. We are very thankful and appreciative for all his efforts
