Dr Timothy Francis

Dr Timothy Francis is a dedicated and highly skilled General Practitioner who is committed to delivering comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a clinical focus that spans both primary care and specialised procedural medicine, he serves as both a General Practitioner and a GP Anaesthetist. Dr Francis is passionate about providing high-quality, equitable healthcare to regional and rural communities, ensuring that patients have access to versatile and reliable medical support close to home.

Dr Francis completed his foundational academic training at the University of Queensland, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Movement Studies before obtaining his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery. To further his clinical expertise, he achieved Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. He also holds formal accreditation from the Joint Consultative Committee on Anaesthesia and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, reflecting his commitment to both clinical excellence and professional leadership.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr Francis is deeply involved in medical education, healthcare governance, and advocacy. He has contributed significantly to the training of future doctors in his role as a Medical Educator and has served as a Board Director for Healthy North Coast Limited. His leadership experience also includes serving as the Deputy Chair of the Advisory Council for General Practice Registrars Australia, where he advocated for the training and support of general practice registrars. Through these roles, he actively works to foster collaborative communities of practice and improve regional health outcomes.
