Dr Tim Greenwell

Dr Tim Greenwell is a highly qualified Ophthalmologist and Specialist Eye Surgeon dedicated to providing exemplary, patient-focussed care. With a broad clinical focus on general ophthalmology, he specialises in advanced cataract surgery, including personalised vision correction options such as toric and enhanced depth of focus lenses. Dr Greenwell is also deeply committed to managing complex retinal conditions, including macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease, ensuring his patients receive tailored treatment plans to preserve and improve their vision.

In addition to his general ophthalmic practice, Dr Greenwell possesses a keen clinical interest in inflammatory eye diseases and uveitis. He has extensive experience in managing these challenging conditions, having completed an intensive subspecialty fellowship in uveitis and medical ophthalmology in Oxford, United Kingdom. Beyond his clinical practice, Dr Greenwell is passionate about global eye health. He has collaborated with ophthalmic charities to train eye care professionals and reduce the burden of blindness within Indigenous Australian communities and developing nations.

Dr Greenwell obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Adelaide in 2008. Following his medical degree, he completed rigorous specialist ophthalmic training in South Australia and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists in 2018. Committed to the advancement of his field, he actively contributes to clinical research, has published numerous scientific papers, and serves as the Director of Training for trainee ophthalmologists in South Australia, helping to shape the next generation of Ophthalmologists.
