Dr Thushitha Pranavendran

Dr Thushitha Pranavendran is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred healthcare. Dr Pranavendran enjoys all aspects of general medicine, focusing on preventative health and long-term patient well-being to ensure that every individual receives personalised and thorough medical attention.

Dr Pranavendran obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka, in 1996. To further her clinical expertise, she completed her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2013. Demonstrating a strong commitment to paediatric care, she also obtained a Diploma in Child Health (DCH) from the University of Sydney in 2014. Additionally, she holds certification from the Australian Medical Council (AMC), reflecting her adherence to rigorous professional standards.

Throughout her career, Dr Pranavendran has developed a diverse range of clinical interests. She is highly skilled in women's health, family planning, and antenatal and postnatal care, including shared antenatal care. Her expertise also extends to paediatrics, childhood immunisations, and aged care. In addition to managing acute and chronic diseases, she performs minor surgical procedures, cryotherapy, and Implanon insertion and removal, ensuring a holistic approach to community health.
