Dr Thura Tun

Dr Thura Tun is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centred care. He strongly believes that the cornerstones of family medicine are approachability and the continuity of care. By fostering open communication and building strong relationships with his patients, Dr Tun ensures that individuals and families receive comprehensive, holistic healthcare tailored to their unique needs.

Prior to transitioning into General Practice, Dr Tun gained extensive international experience working in diverse medical fields across France and the United Kingdom. His clinical background includes valuable work in cardiothoracic surgery, orthopaedics, and emergency medicine. This broad foundation enhances his ability to manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. Within his current practice, he has a particular interest in chronic disease management, including the treatment of diabetes and hypertension, as well as addressing complex musculoskeletal issues.

Dr Tun possesses an impressive array of academic and professional qualifications. He holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBS) and has completed advanced training in France, earning an Attestation de Formation Spécialisée Approfondie (AFSA). He is a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRCSEd) and a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) in the United Kingdom. Additionally, he is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and holds a Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (DRCOG). Demonstrating his diverse intellectual pursuits, Dr Tun also holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in medical law.
