Throughout his career, Dr Dobie has gained diverse clinical experience across various healthcare settings in Australia. After completing his initial medical training, he relocated to the Northern Territory to broaden his expertise in First Nations healthcare, working extensively in trauma and bone surgery at a major regional hospital, as well as spending time providing essential medical care in a remote community. He later transitioned to general practice training in New South Wales, where he spent significant time working within an Aboriginal Medical Service, further refining his skills in community-based medicine.

Dr Dobie completed his medical education at the University of Tasmania, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2016. Committed to maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence, he undertook specialised postgraduate training and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2024. He actively participates in continuing professional development to ensure his clinical practice remains aligned with the latest medical advancements.

As a versatile General Practitioner, Dr Dobie possesses a broad range of clinical interests, with a particular focus on preventative health, chronic disease management, and mental health care. He is highly skilled in sexual health, family planning, and gender-affirming hormone therapy, including specific procedures such as hormone implant and contraceptive device insertions and removals. Additionally, he provides comprehensive care in neurodiversity support, menopause hormone therapy, and routine paediatric care, ensuring a holistic approach to the health and well-being of families and individuals.
