Dr Thiri Soe

Dr Thiri Soe is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a broad clinical focus, Dr Soe supports individuals and families through all stages of life. She is highly regarded for her reassuring approach and her ability to address a wide range of acute and chronic health concerns. Her clinical interests span several key areas of family medicine, with a particular focus on women's health, children's health, mental health, and chronic disease management.

Before transitioning to general practice, Dr Soe gained extensive clinical experience working as a Resident Medical Officer in various hospital departments, including accident and emergency, obstetrics and gynaecology, general medicine, and surgery. During this period, she also developed valuable skills in rehabilitation medicine and psychiatry. This diverse clinical foundation prepared her well for general practice training, which she undertook in Darwin. Dr Soe is passionate about continuous professional development and has completed additional certifications to enhance her clinical skills, including specialised training in reproductive and sexual health, as well as dermatology.

Dr Soe obtained her medical degree, a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), from the University of Medicine in Yangon, Myanmar, in 2005. Demonstrating a strong commitment to paediatric care, she completed a Diploma in Child Health from the University of Sydney in 2013. In 2017, she achieved fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). In the same year, she also earned a Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health for Doctors and a Certificate in Dermatology from the Australian Institute of Dermatology.
