Dr Tamara Johansen

Dr Tamara Johansen is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing high-quality, holistic care to patients of all ages. With a warm and reassuring approach, Dr Johansen focuses on delivering comprehensive family medicine, ensuring that each patient receives personalised attention tailored to their unique healthcare needs. Dr Johansen began her academic journey by studying Veterinary Science at the University of Sydney, practising as a Veterinarian before pursuing her true passion for human medicine. She graduated with her medical degree from Griffith University in 2013, where she was honoured with the Rural Doctors Association of Queensland student prize. Following her graduation, she gained extensive clinical experience working at a regional hospital before transitioning into General Practice. Dr Johansen holds a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and has obtained the Certificate in Women's Health (CWH) from the Royal Australian College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

Throughout her career, Dr Johansen has developed diverse clinical interests, with a particular focus on women's health, family medicine, and skin cancer. She is also deeply passionate about geriatric medicine, providing dedicated medical care, autonomy, and support to elderly patients. Whether conducting routine health checks, managing chronic conditions, or addressing acute medical concerns, Dr Johansen strives to empower her patients through education and preventative care, helping them achieve optimal health outcomes at every stage of life.
