Dr Syeda Alam

Dr Syeda Alam is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centred care. With a strong focus on preventative medicine and a holistic approach to health, she works closely with her patients to manage their medical conditions and promote long-term well-being. Dr Alam believes in building trusting, transparent relationships with individuals and families, ensuring that every patient feels supported and informed throughout their healthcare journey.

As a versatile General Practitioner, Dr Alam has a broad range of clinical interests that span all stages of life, from newborns to the elderly. She is particularly passionate about Women's Health, Men's Health, and Mental Health. Her clinical expertise also encompasses chronic disease management, geriatric medicine, and preventative care. Additionally, she is skilled in performing minor procedures, including iron infusions, skin cancer assessments, and the insertion and removal of contraceptive devices such as Implanon and Mirena.

Dr Alam completed her medical education at Dhaka University, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2003. She subsequently relocated to the United Kingdom, where she undertook comprehensive postgraduate training in General Practice. In 2013, she achieved membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners. During her time in the UK, she also obtained a Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and a Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare. After moving to Australia, she was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, reflecting her high standards of clinical excellence.
