Dr Suzan Bekir

Dr Suzan Bekir is a highly dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is deeply committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a strong belief in a holistic approach to medicine, she integrates multiple clinical disciplines and specialised skills to address the diverse and unique healthcare needs of her patients. Her practice is characterised by a warm, relatable, and honest communication style, ensuring that patients feel fully supported and empowered throughout their health journeys.

Throughout her career, Dr Bekir has developed a wide range of clinical interests that span across various facets of family medicine. She has a particular focus on primary care allergy and ear, nose, and throat (ENT) conditions, as well as sleep and breathing disorders, with a specific interest in paediatric mouth breathing and snoring. Her expertise also extends to women's health, including hormone replacement therapy (HRT) for menopause, and men's health, with a focus on sexology and male sexual dysfunction. Additionally, she provides focused psychological strategies for mental health, cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), paediatric care, and nutritional and environmental medicine. Her clinical capabilities also include performing iron infusions, skin checks, biopsies, and minor surgical procedures for skin cancer removal.

Dr Bekir completed her formal medical training at the University of New South Wales, graduating with Class 1 Honours in 2004. She achieved her vocational registration and was accredited as a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2008. Committed to continuous professional development, she has undertaken further studies with the Australian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine (ACNEM) and has completed specialised training in dermatology and defence medicine. Dr Bekir is an active member of several professional bodies, including the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP), the Australian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine (ACNEM), and is an Associate Medical Member of the Australian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA). She is also a dedicated medical educator, having served as an accredited GP Trainer.
