Dr Susan Tyler-Freer

Dr Susan Tyler-Freer is a dedicated and highly regarded General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, holistic care to her patients. Originally from North America, where she built a diverse professional background in research, clinical laboratory work, teaching, and forensic investigations, she relocated to Australia to pursue her medical career. Dr Tyler-Freer is deeply committed to treating both the physical and mental aspects of health, offering a reassuring and patient-centred approach to general medicine.

Dr Tyler-Freer completed her medical education at the University of Sydney, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2007. She also holds a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology. Following her graduation, she gained extensive clinical experience in various hospital environments before completing specialised training in palliative medicine. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and holds a Clinical Diploma in Palliative Medicine. Additionally, she is an active contributor to medical education, serving as a Lead Medical Educator for the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine, where her outstanding contributions to training the next generation of doctors have been recognised with prestigious state awards.
