Dr Susan Sunwoo

Dr Susan Sunwoo is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing comprehensive, high-quality healthcare to individuals and families. With a patient-centred approach, she focuses on building long-term relationships with her patients, ensuring they feel heard, supported, and respected at every stage of their health journey. Dr Sunwoo believes that effective general practice extends beyond treating immediate illnesses, aiming instead to deliver personalised care that supports long-term well-being and preventative health.

As a versatile General Practitioner, Dr Sunwoo enjoys all aspects of family medicine, with particular clinical interests in women's health and paediatric care. Her expertise encompasses a broad range of services, including cervical cancer screening, fertility and pregnancy planning, antenatal shared care, and breast examinations. She is also highly experienced in chronic disease management, preventative health, skin checks, and mental health care, including the development of comprehensive mental health plans. Her holistic approach ensures that patients of all ages receive tailored medical guidance suited to their unique circumstances.

Dr Sunwoo completed her medical training at the University of New South Wales in 2008, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, a Bachelor of Science (Medicine), and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours. She completed her internship and residency training locally before achieving Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2014. Committed to continuous professional development, she also obtained a Diploma of Child Health from the University of Sydney and is an active member of the Australasian Menopause Society. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr Sunwoo serves as an accredited supervisor for training specialist General Practitioner Registrars and contributes to the wider medical community as a Clinical Editor for a regional primary health network.
