Following her initial medical training, she gained extensive clinical experience both in Australia and internationally, working in Jamaica and the United Kingdom. During her time abroad, she obtained a Diploma in Anaesthetics and earned Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners in the United Kingdom. Additionally, she maintains an active membership with the South Pacific Underwater Medicine Society, reflecting her ongoing commitment to professional development and specialised medical standards.
