Dr Susan Fernandes

Dr Susan Fernandes is a dedicated and highly skilled General Practitioner who is committed to delivering comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a wealth of knowledge gained from working in diverse clinical settings both across Australia and internationally, she provides compassionate and reassuring medical support to individuals and families. Dr Fernandes believes in building strong, trusting relationships with her patients, ensuring they feel heard and supported throughout their healthcare journey.

Her clinical interests span a wide range of general practice services, with a particular focus on women's health, including antenatal care, pregnancy care, contraception, and Implanon insertion and removal. Dr Fernandes is also deeply committed to child and adolescent health, childhood immunisations, and mental health support. Her broader clinical expertise includes chronic disease management, travel health, tropical medicine, and skin cancer management, where she performs thorough skin cancer checks and minor surgical excisions.

Dr Fernandes completed her medical training with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and went on to obtain a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (DTM & H). Demonstrating her commitment to the highest standards of medical practice, she holds professional fellowships with prestigious medical bodies. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and a Fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (FRNZCGP).
