Dr Stephen Knipe

Dr Stephen Knipe is a dedicated General Paediatrician who provides comprehensive medical care for infants, children, and adolescents. With a compassionate and family-focused approach, he is committed to supporting the growth, development, and overall wellbeing of his young patients. Dr Knipe has a particular clinical interest in neonatal and early childhood paediatrics, as well as adolescent health and preventive care strategies. He is also deeply committed to community health, which is reflected in his work running a local Indigenous clinic.

Dr Knipe began his medical journey in Scotland, graduating from Glasgow University with a Bachelor of Science with Honours and a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. After completing his internship in Scotland, he relocated to Australia to undertake specialist paediatric training. He successfully completed his specialist training in 2010, achieving a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Knipe is actively involved in medical education. He contributes to a university Graduate Medical Programme, where he serves as a Lecturer and Examiner, helping to shape the next generation of medical professionals. Dr Knipe's practice encompasses a wide range of paediatric services, including developmental assessments, immunisation programmes, and the management of chronic childhood conditions such as asthma and diabetes. He strives to deliver evidence-based, holistic care that ensures every child receives the best possible start in life.
