Dr. Stephen Kleid

Dr Stephen Kleid is a well experienced Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Surgeon at Coco Ruby Plastic Surgery in Hawthorn East. He completed his medical degree at the University of Melbourne in 1977, subsequently completing his training at several hospitals, including St Vincent's Hospital, The Eye and Ear Hospital, Royal Melbourne Hospital and the Royal Children's Hospital. He also spent some time in Florida in the United States practicing as a surgeon at the University of Florida Medical School. He became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 1986.

Dr Kleid also practices as a Senior ENT and Head & Neck Tumour Surgeon at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre where he has worked for over 30 years. He also practiced at the Royal Melbourne Hospital for 20 years and became Head of the Department.

In his current clinical practice, Dr Kleid specialises in the following ENT procedures:

• Septoplasty for deviated septum
• Septorhinoplasty
• Rhinoplasty and revision rhinoplasty
• Sinus surgery
• Alarplasty (nostril reduction surgery)
• Tracheal shave (Adam's apple reduction)
• Otoplasty for bat ear

Dr Kleid has performed over 1000 nose procedures and over 500 rhinoplasties over the two decades of his experience in nose surgery. Outside of his clinical work, he teaches and lectures medical students, trainee surgeons and surgeons from overseas. He also is regularly invited to lecture in his field of expertise at conferences in Australia and overseas.
