Dr. Zubair Hasan

Dr Zubair Hasan is a dual-trained specialist surgeon with a diverse clinical background across major Australian teaching hospitals. After graduating from the University of New South Wales, he pursued dual surgical pathways, gaining a broad foundation in General Surgery before specialising in Otolaryngology. He additionally holds a Master of Surgery and a Master of International Public Health (MIPH), qualifications that complement his surgical training and support an evidence-based, comprehensive approach to patient care.

Throughout his career, Dr Hasan has been recognised for clinical excellence, notably receiving the prestigious Hugh Johnston Travel Fellowship in 2022. This fellowship enabled him to visit leading centres in the United States, including Duke University Hospitals in Durham, North Carolina, where he observed advanced practices in otology and neurotology. He remains actively involved in academic medicine and has contributed extensively to peer-reviewed literature and surgical textbooks.

Dr Hasan has extensive consultant-level experience across Melbourne and Newcastle, including the Royal Children’s Hospital, Monash Health, Eastern Health, Alfred Health and John Hunter Hospital. His clinical practice encompasses both paediatric and adult ENT, with experience managing complex conditions affecting the ear, nose and throat across tertiary teaching hospitals.
