Dr Sonia Ferdous

Dr Sonia Ferdous is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a reassuring and professional approach, she supports individuals and families through all stages of life. Dr Ferdous believes in fostering strong doctor-patient relationships built on trust, active listening, and mutual respect, ensuring that every patient feels heard and valued during their consultations.

As a versatile General Practitioner, Dr Ferdous has developed a broad range of clinical interests to address the diverse needs of her patients. She has a particular passion for women's health, paediatric care, and antenatal care, helping mothers and children navigate their health journeys safely. Additionally, she is highly skilled in chronic disease management and mental health support, offering holistic care plans designed to improve the long-term well-being of her patients.

Dr Ferdous completed her medical education at Dhaka University, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2003. To further her expertise in paediatric medicine, she obtained a Diploma in Child Health (DCH). She is also a recognised Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). Prior to focusing on general practice, she gained extensive clinical experience working in emergency medicine and various hospital departments across Australia, which equipped her with a robust foundation in managing acute and complex medical conditions.
