Dr Shaw Boon Tan is a highly dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. Before transitioning to General Practice, Dr Tan built a robust clinical foundation working in various medical and surgical departments. He served as a Medical Officer, Surgical Resident, and Registrar in general surgery and trauma at major tertiary hospitals. This diverse background provided him with deep expertise in managing complex surgical and medical ward patients, particularly in fields such as plastic surgery, neurosurgery, cardiac surgery, and ear, nose, and throat care. Additionally, he has worked closely with local sports organisations to treat and manage acute sports-related injuries, further broadening his clinical capabilities.

Dr Tan completed his medical training in Melbourne, earning his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery alongside a Bachelor of Medical Science in 2006. Driven by a passion for continuous learning, he went on to obtain a Master of Surgical Science from a prominent university in Adelaide. He completed his specialised General Practice training in rural and remote regions, gaining invaluable experience in diverse clinical settings.
