Dr Sharon Chant

Dr Sharon Chant is a dedicated General Practitioner who combines conventional medical training with a deep understanding of functional and complementary medicine. She is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care that addresses the root causes of illness rather than merely managing symptoms. By viewing each patient as a whole being, Dr Chant focuses on the intricate connections between lifestyle, nutrition, and biochemical balance to help individuals achieve optimal health and vitality.

With a strong belief in the body's innate healing power, Dr Chant works collaboratively with her patients to identify and remove obstacles to recovery, such as nutrient deficiencies, chronic infections, and environmental toxins. Her clinical approach is highly personalised, utilising evidence-based nutritional and environmental medicine to support physical and mental well-being. She has a particular interest in the biochemical underpinnings of disease and employs advanced therapies to address imbalances that can impact mental health and overall systemic function.

Dr Chant completed her Bachelor of Science before earning her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery with Honours from the University of Queensland Medical School in 2004. She went on to complete her hospital training and specialist General Practice training, obtaining her Fellowship of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2009. Additionally, she holds a Diploma of Homeopathy. Dr Chant is an active member of the Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine and the Institute for Functional Medicine in the United States. She has also completed advanced training in nutrient therapy with the Walsh Institute and further studies with the Mindd Foundation.
