Dr Shanel Sharma

Dr Shanel Sharma is a highly qualified and compassionate Ophthalmologist and Ophthalmic Surgeon who provides comprehensive eye care for both adult and paediatric patients. Dr Sharma completed her medical education at the University of New South Wales, graduating with a Bachelor of Science (Medicine) and a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery. She undertook her specialist training in Ophthalmology at prominent tertiary and paediatric hospitals in Sydney, culminating in her admission as a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists in 2007. To further refine her expertise, she completed prestigious postgraduate fellowships in strabismus and paediatric ophthalmology at world-renowned specialist eye institutions in London. She is also a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds an Executive Master of Business Administration.

Throughout her career, Dr Sharma has held senior clinical and academic roles, including serving as a Consultant Ophthalmologist and a Conjoint Lecturer at major Australian universities.
