Dr Scott Reid

Dr Scott Reid is a dedicated General Practitioner who brings a unique and diverse background to his medical practice. Before embarking on his medical career, Dr Reid served the community as an Ambulance Officer for the Ambulance Service of New South Wales and as a permanent Firefighter and Rescue Operator with Fire and Rescue New South Wales. This extensive experience in emergency services provided him with a solid foundation in crisis management and acute care, which seamlessly transitioned into his work in primary healthcare. He is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care to individuals and families within the community.

Dr Reid completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at Western Sydney University in 2011. Following his graduation, he completed his internship and residency training, gaining valuable experience across various medical disciplines, including emergency medicine, paediatrics, mental health, drug and alcohol services, and orthopaedics. Committed to postgraduate education, he obtained a Diploma in Child Health and a Master of Sports Medicine. Dr Reid achieved his Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2016, reflecting his high standard of clinical competence and dedication to the field of General Practice.

With a broad range of clinical expertise, Dr Reid has developed particular interests in sports medicine and mental health. His passion for sports medicine is demonstrated by his involvement as a Team Doctor for a professional rugby league team, where he manages acute sports injuries and supports athlete rehabilitation. In his daily practice, he focuses on preventative health, chronic disease management, and holistic patient care. Dr Reid prioritises open communication and collaboration, ensuring that patients feel supported and empowered throughout their healthcare journey.
