Dr Sarah Rotstein

Dr Sarah Rotstein is a highly dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist who provides compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. With a clinical approach centred on empathy and patient-focused collaboration, she specialises in diagnosing and managing a wide range of psychiatric conditions. Dr Rotstein is particularly passionate about women's mental health and doctor's mental health, offering tailored support to individuals navigating complex life transitions and psychological challenges. Her clinical interests also encompass the treatment of anxiety disorders, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr Rotstein is deeply involved in medical education, research, and advocacy. She serves as a Senior Lecturer and Academic Coordinator, contributing significantly to the development and review of medical curricula. Her research efforts focus on improving mental health outcomes, addressing medical student stigma against psychiatry, and exploring doctor burnout. Dr Rotstein's innovative teaching methods have earned her professional recognition, reflecting her commitment to training the next generation of medical professionals and fostering a deeper understanding of mental health.

Dr Rotstein completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at Monash University in 2011. Committed to continuous professional development, she went on to obtain a Master of Psychiatry in 2016, a Graduate Certificate of Arts in 2017, and a Graduate Diploma of Clinical Education in 2018. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) and actively participates in the college's ongoing professional programmes.
