Dr Sanjeev Kumar

Dr Sanjeev Kumar is a highly dedicated Medical Oncologist and Clinician Scientist who provides compassionate, evidence-based care to patients navigating cancer diagnoses. With a strong focus on personalised medicine, Dr Kumar combines clinical expertise with cutting-edge scientific research to deliver comprehensive treatment strategies. Dr Kumar completed his undergraduate medical studies at the University of New South Wales in 2006. He undertook specialist training as a Medical Oncologist in Australia and the United Kingdom. In 2015, he completed a fellowship in cancer drug development in Cambridge, UK, and was subsequently awarded a scholarship to complete a PhD in cancer molecular biology at the University of Cambridge. During his time in the United Kingdom, he also ran a nationwide clinical trial, further solidifying his expertise in translating laboratory discoveries into clinical advancements.

With a primary clinical and academic focus on breast cancer, Dr Kumar has a particular interest in the treatment of breast cancer in young women, neoadjuvant therapies, and addressing endocrine therapy resistance. He is actively involved in clinical trials and the education of medical trainees, ensuring that his practice remains at the forefront of oncological developments.
