Dr Samriti Sood

Dr Samriti Sood is a highly skilled Specialist Breast Oncoplastic and General Surgeon who is dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate, and personalised care to her patients. She specialises in the management of both benign and malignant breast conditions, with a particular focus on breast surgical oncology and reconstructive surgery. Dr Sood is committed to empowering patients by providing clear information and tailored treatment pathways, ensuring they feel supported and confident throughout their healthcare journey.

In addition to her expertise in breast surgery, Dr Sood is a trained General Surgeon who manages a wide range of general surgical conditions. Her clinical interests and capabilities include the treatment of gallbladder disease, abdominal and inguinoscrotal herniae, skin and subcutaneous lesions, and acute general surgical emergencies. By combining advanced oncoplastic techniques with general surgical expertise, she aims to achieve optimal oncological outcomes while prioritising the aesthetic and physical well-being of her patients.

Dr Sood graduated with Honours in medicine from The University of New South Wales. Following her primary medical qualification, she completed her general surgical training across major tertiary and regional hospitals in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory. She furthered her academic and clinical expertise by obtaining a Master of Surgery and a Graduate Certificate in Surgery (Breast Surgery) from The University of Sydney, followed by extensive post-fellowship training in breast oncoplastic and reconstructive surgery. Dr Sood is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, a member of General Surgeons Australia, and a member of the BreastSurgANZ Society. She also contributes to the medical community as a Senior Clinical Lecturer and is actively involved in clinical trials and research for breast cancer management.
