Dr Sam Galhenage

Dr Sam Galhenage is a highly qualified Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist based in Murdoch, Western Australia. He provides comprehensive care for patients experiencing a wide range of digestive and liver disorders. With a patient-centred approach, Dr Galhenage is dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate clinical services, including consultations and advanced endoscopic procedures. Dr Galhenage completed his six-year medical degree at the University of Western Australia, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. He undertook his basic Physician training and subsequent advanced training in gastroenterology across several major tertiary hospitals in Perth and Sydney. To further refine his expertise, he completed an eighteen-month clinical research fellowship in hepatology at a prestigious university in North Carolina, United States, focusing particularly on viral hepatitis. He obtained his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2005.

Throughout his career, Dr Galhenage has maintained a strong clinical interest in general gastroenterology and endoscopy, regularly performing gastroscopies and colonoscopies.
