Dr Salar McModie

Dr Salar McModie is a Melbourne-trained Consultant Neurologist with a subspecialty in movement disorders. He completed his physician and specialist neurology training across several hospitals in Victoria, followed by a fellowship year in movement disorders at The Alfred Hospital. During this time, he was actively involved in multi-centre clinical trials, particularly in relation to Parkinson’s disease and progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP).

Dr McModie has a special interest in the management of Parkinson’s disease, tremor, dystonia, spasticity, falls, gait and balance disorders, and the use of Botulinum toxin injections for movement disorders and migraine. He also sees patients with a wide range of neurological conditions, including headache, epilepsy, vertigo, neuropathy, stroke, and multiple sclerosis.

He offers consultations in English, Farsi/Persian, and Kurdish, with short waiting times for new patients. Dr McModie currently practises privately at the 195 Specialist Centre in Bulleen and holds admitting rights at Warringal Private Hospital and Epworth Eastern.
