Dr Ruth Eagles

Dr Ruth Eagles is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing comprehensive, high-quality primary care. With a broad clinical background spanning multiple states and territories in Australia, she brings a wealth of knowledge and a reassuring, patient-centred approach to her practice. Dr Eagles has also demonstrated a strong commitment to global health and humanitarian efforts, having previously volunteered her medical expertise with the international aid organisation Médecins Sans Frontières.

Dr Eagles obtained her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Monash University in Melbourne, qualifying in 2003. She is deeply involved in medical education and professional development, contributing significantly to the training of the next generation of General Practitioners. Her professional contributions include serving as a Medical Educator and holding a position on the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) GPs in Training Wellbeing Committee, where she advocates for the support and welfare of training doctors.

She provides expert guidance on sexual and reproductive health, including contraception advice and family planning. Dr Eagles is highly skilled in performing specialised contraceptive procedures, such as the insertion and removal of Implanon and Mirena intrauterine devices. Her practice also encompasses shared obstetric care, supporting women through their antenatal and postnatal journeys to ensure safe and positive health outcomes for both mother and child.
