Dr Russell King

Dr Russell King is a dedicated and highly qualified General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care to the community of Armidale, Australia. Originally from the United Kingdom, he gained valuable clinical experience working in the Northern Territory and Tamworth before settling in Armidale. Dr King enjoys all aspects of General Practice, bringing a reassuring and professional approach to every consultation, ensuring that patients of all ages receive tailored and compassionate medical support.

With a broad scope of practice, Dr King has developed particular clinical interests in several key areas of family medicine. He is highly skilled in performing minor skin procedures and providing comprehensive skin cancer care, helping patients manage and monitor their dermatological health. Additionally, he is passionate about supporting expectant mothers through shared antenatal care, offering guidance and medical oversight throughout their pregnancy journeys.

Dr King holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom (MRCP). Demonstrating his commitment to the highest standards of primary care, he is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). Alongside his clinical work, Dr King is deeply involved in medical education. He serves as a Senior Lecturer at the School of Rural Medicine at the University of New England and is an accredited GP Synergy Supervisor, dedicating his time to training and mentoring the next generation of medical professionals.
