Dr Roger Grigg

Dr Roger Grigg is a highly regarded Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon (Otolaryngologist) who provides comprehensive medical and surgical care for patients of all ages. Based in regional Queensland, he is dedicated to delivering evidence-based, patient-centred care for a wide range of conditions affecting the ears, nose, sinuses, throat, and head and neck region. Dr Grigg works collaboratively with general practitioners, audiologists, speech therapists, and other allied health professionals to ensure co-ordinated treatment planning and optimal long-term health outcomes.

With a broad scope of practice, Dr Grigg has a particular clinical interest in thyroid and parathyroid surgery, head and neck cancers, and facial reconstructive plastic surgery. His expertise also encompasses the management of sinus and nasal disorders, hearing concerns, middle ear disease, and voice and swallowing disorders. Additionally, he provides specialised care for head and neck skin cancers, nasal irritation, allergies, and paediatric ENT presentations, ensuring that each patient receives a tailored management plan.

Dr Grigg completed his Bachelor of Science and his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Queensland in 1989. He went on to complete advanced specialist training in otolaryngology and was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. To further refine his expertise, he completed post-fellowship training in facial plastic surgery and head and neck oncological surgery. Dr Grigg is a member of several prestigious professional bodies, including the Australasian Head and Neck Society and the Australasian Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Grigg is an Associate Professor at the University of Queensland's Rural Clinical School and serves as a member of the Court of Examiners for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He has also served as the Director of Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery at a regional public hospital. In recognition of his significant service to medicine in the field of otolaryngology head and neck surgery, Dr Grigg was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in 2023. He is also actively involved in humanitarian work, volunteering his surgical skills to support communities in the Pacific region.
