Dr Robert Hungerford

Dr Robert Hungerford is a highly dedicated Specialist General Practitioner who provides comprehensive primary care services. With a strong commitment to patient-centred care, he focuses on delivering thorough clinical assessments, accurate diagnoses, and personalised treatment plans. He is particularly passionate about managing chronic conditions and helping patients achieve long-term health and well-being through proactive medical guidance.

Dr Hungerford completed his Bachelor of Medical Science at the University of Sydney before pursuing his Bachelor of Medicine at the University of Newcastle, where he was awarded the Steele Douglas Prize in Pathology. He completed his postgraduate General Practice training programme and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2014, receiving the prestigious Tony Buhagiar Medal for his outstanding examination performance. Additionally, he holds a Certificate of Excellence in Lipidology from the European Atherosclerosis Society. Dr Hungerford is a Conjoint Lecturer at the University of Newcastle and maintains active memberships with several professional organisations, including the Australian and European Atherosclerosis Societies, the European Society of Cardiology, and the American College of Cardiology.

In his clinical practice, Dr Hungerford has developed a strong focus on cardiometabolic health and preventative medicine.
