Dr Richard Andrew Sacks

Dr Richard Andrew Sacks is a highly accomplished and compassionate General Practitioner who is dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a reassuring and professional clinical approach, he focuses on delivering personalised healthcare solutions that support the long-term well-being of individuals and families. His diverse medical background enables him to address a wide range of health concerns with expertise and empathy, ensuring that every patient feels heard and supported throughout their medical journey.

Before embarking on his medical career, Dr Sacks attained a First Class Honours undergraduate degree in psychology in the United Kingdom. He then graduated as a Doctor, earning his Bachelor of Medicine from the University of Southampton. He completed his initial hospital training at a prestigious teaching hospital in London, rotating through key departments including Psychiatry, General Medicine, Elderly Care, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics, and Accident and Emergency. To further his expertise, he obtained specialist postgraduate qualifications, including a Diploma in Child Health and a Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. He is a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners in the United Kingdom and a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Throughout his career, Dr Sacks has developed key clinical interests in Chronic Disease Management, Gynaecology, and Paediatrics. Prior to relocating to Australia in 2017, he successfully established and ran his own private family medical practice. In addition to his clinical work, he is deeply committed to medical education and the development of future healthcare professionals. He actively supervises medical students and General Practice Registrars, and he serves as a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Sydney, sharing his extensive knowledge and passion for General Practice with the next generation of Doctors.
