Dr Ray Farley

Dr Ray Farley is a dedicated and highly skilled Neonatal Paediatrician who specialises in the care of babies and infants from birth up to twelve months of age. As a Specialist Neonatal Paediatrician, he is deeply committed to supporting families through the critical early stages of their child's life. Dr Farley provides comprehensive follow-up care for newborns, including those born prematurely or at term, ensuring their growth and development are carefully monitored. His clinical practice focuses on addressing a wide range of early childhood concerns, helping parents navigate the joys and challenges of infancy with confidence.

With a warm, reassuring, and relaxed approach, Dr Farley has a particular interest in baby feeding issues, including the assessment and release of tongue-tie. He is also highly experienced in managing irritable babies, neonatal critical care, neonatal resuscitation, and providing antenatal counselling for expectant parents. His expertise extends to newborn and infant nutrition, growth, and developmental milestones. As a father of twin daughters who were born prematurely, Dr Farley brings a unique personal understanding and empathy to his practice, allowing him to connect deeply with parents facing similar challenges.

Dr Farley obtained his primary medical degree from Aberdeen University in Scotland before relocating to Australia. He went on to complete his advanced specialist training in Paediatrics, specialising in Neonatal and Perinatal Medicine, at leading tertiary hospitals in Brisbane. In addition to his clinical work, he is passionate about medical education and regularly teaches students, Midwives, Nurses, and Doctors the essential skills required to deliver life-saving care to babies and infants.
