Professor Ramesh Tripathi is an internationally recognised Vascular Surgeon and Endovascular Surgeon who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care for a wide range of circulatory conditions. With a focus on minimally invasive therapies, he specialises in the diagnosis and management of complex arterial and venous disorders. Dr Tripathi is dedicated to delivering evidence-based, holistic treatments that improve patient outcomes and enhance quality of life, particularly for those suffering from chronic and debilitating vascular conditions.
Throughout his distinguished career, Dr Tripathi has pioneered numerous advanced vascular procedures, introducing cutting-edge endovascular techniques to the medical community. His clinical interests encompass the treatment of aortic aneurysms, carotid artery disease for stroke prevention, peripheral arterial occlusive disease, and complex venous disorders, including deep vein valve repair and chronic leg ulcers. As an active researcher and academic, he has contributed extensively to medical literature, authored textbook chapters, and delivered invited lectures globally, ensuring his patients benefit from the latest advancements in vascular medicine.
Dr Tripathi completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) in Pondicherry, India. He went on to obtain his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in General Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, followed by an Aortic Fellowship at the University of Cologne in Germany. He completed his specialist training in vascular surgery in Australia, culminating in a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in Vascular Surgery in 2005. Dr Tripathi holds academic appointments as an Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Queensland and an Adjunct Professor at the University of the Sunshine Coast. He is a Distinguished Fellow of the Society for Vascular Surgery (USA) and the American Venous Forum, an Honorary Member of the European Venous Forum, and a Fellow of the Australasian College of Phlebology.
