Dr Jayatillake obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery and subsequently relocated to Australia, receiving her Australian Medical Council certification in 2000. She completed her General Practitioner training in rural New South Wales, during which she earned a Diploma in Child Health in 2003. In 2005, she achieved her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Demonstrating a strong commitment to medical education and professional standards, Dr Jayatillake has served as an Examiner for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners fellowship examinations since 2008 and acts as a Training Supervisor for regional general practice training.
