Dr Prashanth Prithviraj

Dr Prashanth Prithviraj is a highly dedicated Consultant Physician and Medical Oncologist who provides comprehensive, compassionate care to patients navigating cancer diagnoses. With a clinical focus that spans all cancer types, he has a particular interest in treating melanoma and lung cancer. Dr Prithviraj is committed to delivering evidence-based, patient-centred care, ensuring that individuals and their families are supported throughout every stage of their treatment journey.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Prithviraj is deeply involved in translational research and immunotherapy, seeking to bridge the gap between laboratory discoveries and bedside patient care. He serves as a Lead Investigator for numerous clinical trials, contributing to the development of innovative cancer therapies. His academic contributions include presenting at major national and international medical conferences and publishing research in prominent, peer-reviewed scientific journals.

Dr Prithviraj completed his medical degree (MBBS) before undertaking specialist training in Medical Oncology. He furthered his postgraduate education by earning a Master of Science in Biotechnology from the University of Western Sydney and a Master of Public Health, specialising in epidemiology and statistics, from the University of Newcastle. He also completed a PhD in cancer biology at a prominent research institute in Melbourne. Dr Prithviraj is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and holds academic appointments as an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow and Honorary Clinician Scientist.
