Dr Pieter Erasmus

Dr Pieter Erasmus is a highly dedicated and accomplished General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a broad clinical focus, he is committed to delivering high-quality family medicine that addresses the diverse healthcare needs of his patients. Dr Erasmus completed his medical training in South Africa, obtaining his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from the University of the Free State. Demonstrating a strong commitment to advanced clinical knowledge, he went on to complete a Master of Medicine (MMed) in Dermatology at the same university. Additionally, he holds a Diploma in Community Emergency Medicine and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). As an Accredited Registrar Supervisor, Dr Erasmus also dedicates his time to mentoring and supervising Registrars and International Doctors, helping to shape the future of the medical profession.

Throughout his career, which has spanned general practice in both New Zealand and Australia, Dr Erasmus has developed a particular clinical interest in dermatological care and skin cancer medicine. He specialises in performing comprehensive skin checks, cryotherapy, and skin excision procedures, as well as complex skin cancer surgery. By combining his extensive background in dermatology with all aspects of family medicine, Dr Erasmus offers patients thorough and reassuring care, particularly in the prevention, early detection, and surgical management of skin cancers.
