Dr Philip Jeffery

Dr Philip Jeffery is a dedicated and highly experienced General Practitioner who provides comprehensive healthcare to patients in rural and remote communities. Dr Jeffery completed his medical education at the University of Sydney, graduating with his medical degree in 1972. Throughout his career, he has undertaken further training in Anaesthetics, Intensive Care, Hyperbaric Medicine, and wound care. He holds professional memberships with several esteemed bodies, including the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society, the South Pacific Underwater Medicine Society, the International Hyperbaric Medical Foundation, and Hyperbaric Medicine International.

His clinical experience is vast, having practised as a rural General Practitioner for many years and worked in remote hospitals, where he focused significantly on Indigenous health. Dr Jeffery's clinical interests are diverse, spanning preventative medicine, chronic pain management, asthma care, and skin checks. He also provides essential family healthcare services, such as children's health, child immunisations, travel medicine, and travel vaccinations, ensuring that patients of all ages receive comprehensive care.
