Dr Peter Jones

Dr Peter Jones is a highly respected General Practitioner and Consultant Paediatrician who provides comprehensive, compassionate care to his patients. With a career dedicated to clinical excellence, medical education, and research, Dr Jones brings a wealth of expertise to his practice. He is deeply committed to supporting families and helping patients navigate complex health journeys, ensuring that every individual receives personalised and reassuring care.

Dr Jones completed his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and subsequently obtained a Diploma in Child Health (DCH). He qualified as a Consultant Paediatrician in 1996 and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP). Furthering his academic pursuits, he earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) focusing on asthma and allergy. Dr Jones is also a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD). Throughout his distinguished career, he has held prominent academic leadership roles, including serving as the Dean of Medicine at a leading Australian university, and has published numerous peer-reviewed scientific papers.

In his clinical practice, Dr Jones focuses on the breadth of general medicine and paediatric care, from neonatal health through to adolescence. He possesses advanced skills in managing asthma, assessing challenging infants, and evaluating early childhood development. To address the evolving needs of his patients, Dr Jones has undertaken specialised training in the diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), child and adolescent cognitive behavioural therapy, and the management of neurodevelopmental conditions such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and intellectual impairments. He also provides dedicated support for common mental health concerns, including anxiety and depression, and works closely with families to advocate for children with special needs.
