Dr Peter Gowdie

Dr Peter Gowdie is a highly regarded General Paediatrician and Paediatric Rheumatologist based in Melbourne, Australia. Dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care, he specialises in diagnosing and managing a wide range of general childhood illnesses as well as complex musculoskeletal and autoimmune conditions. Dr Gowdie is committed to improving the quality of life for young patients, working closely with families to deliver reassuring and effective treatment plans from infancy through to adolescence.

Dr Gowdie obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Melbourne, graduating in 2002. He completed his specialist training in general paediatrics at leading children's hospitals in Melbourne. To further specialise, he undertook advanced training in paediatric rheumatology, which culminated in a prestigious fellowship at a world-renowned children's hospital in Toronto, Canada. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Gowdie is deeply involved in medical education and clinical research. He serves as an Adjunct Lecturer, teaching and lecturing undergraduate medical students, and is actively engaged in educating postgraduate paediatric and rheumatology trainees.
