Dr Paula Kavalieros

Dr Paula Kavalieros is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. As a proud Wiradjuri woman, she is deeply committed to delivering culturally safe, holistic, and strengths-based healthcare. Her clinical approach focuses on supporting individuals and families navigating complex medical, mental health, and neurodevelopmental challenges, ensuring every patient feels heard, respected, and supported throughout their healthcare journey.

With a broad range of clinical and research interests, Dr Kavalieros has developed significant expertise in several key areas of medicine. She has a particular interest in the diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism, working closely with families to navigate these neurodevelopmental conditions. Her other major areas of clinical focus include mental health, stroke and dementia, and Indigenous health. Additionally, she is highly passionate about the intersection of trauma, addiction, and cultural safety, actively working to reduce stigma and improve access to care for vulnerable populations.

Dr Kavalieros graduated with her medical degree from the University of Newcastle in 2004. Demonstrating a diverse professional background, she also holds a Bachelor of Business and was previously qualified as a Certified Practising Accountant, which allows her to bring a unique, systems-based perspective to healthcare delivery. Committed to continuous professional development, she is currently an Advanced Trainee in Addiction Medicine with the Australasian Chapter of Addiction Medicine, alongside pursuing studies in arts therapy to further enrich her holistic approach to patient care.
