Dr Paul McEniery

Dr Paul McEniery is a highly qualified Australian-trained Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in conditions of the upper limb. With a clinical focus on the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder, he provides comprehensive care for patients experiencing a wide range of musculoskeletal issues. Dr McEniery is dedicated to delivering personalised, evidence-based treatment plans, ensuring that each patient receives the highest standard of care to restore function and improve their quality of life.

Dr McEniery completed his undergraduate studies, earning a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Queensland. He went on to complete the Queensland orthopaedic training programme in 2011. To further refine his expertise, he undertook advanced post-fellowship training in hand surgery, microsurgery, and peripheral nerve surgery in 2013. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association. Additionally, he holds certification as a Certified Independent Medical Examiner.

In his clinical practice, Dr McEniery has a particular interest in upper limb trauma, microsurgery, and peripheral nerve surgery, including brachial plexus conditions. His scope of practice also encompasses the management of complex hand and wrist injuries. Alongside his private practice, he maintains a strong commitment to public healthcare, participating in hand and microvascular on-call rosters and attending specialised clinics. He has also served as a Reserve Medical Officer in the Australian Army, bringing a diverse range of experience to his orthopaedic practice.
