Dr Paul Deighton

Dr Paul Deighton is a compassionate and highly skilled General Practitioner who provides comprehensive primary healthcare to individuals and families. He is committed to delivering an integrated approach to family medicine, focusing on evidence-based management for a wide range of physical, psychological, and emotional concerns. With a reassuring and patient-centred approach, Dr Deighton works closely with his patients to support their long-term health and well-being.

Dr Deighton completed his medical education at the University of New South Wales, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery in 1980. Following his graduation, he undertook extensive clinical training during several hospital residencies across New South Wales, gaining broad exposure to diverse medical conditions. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and has completed advanced training in medical hypnotherapy to further support his clinical practice.

Throughout his career, Dr Deighton has developed a strong clinical interest in mental health, assisting patients and families in identifying and managing psychological challenges. He utilises targeted counselling and medical hypnotherapy as relaxation-based strategies to help patients manage stress, debilitating anxiety disorders, and addictive behaviours. By addressing both physical and emotional health, he assists patients in overcoming self-esteem issues and fostering personal growth.
