Dr Oscar Cumming

Dr Oscar Cumming is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. He works across the full scope of General Practice, believing strongly in the central role that General Practitioners play in achieving optimal health outcomes for the community. With a reassuring and professional approach, Dr Cumming is committed to supporting his patients through every stage of their health journey, from preventative care to the management of complex conditions.

Dr Cumming completed his medical degree at the University of New England in 2014. Committed to clinical excellence, he went on to attain Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. To further support his younger patients, he also completed a Diploma of Child Health through the University of Sydney and the Sydney Children's Hospitals Network. His professional training includes Junior Medical Officer training within the Hunter New England Local Health District and a period working as a Paediatric Registrar, where he gained valuable experience in general and emergency paediatric care.

With a broad range of clinical interests, Dr Cumming provides tailored care for patients of all ages. He has a particular interest in paediatric and adolescent health, men's health, mental health, and healthy ageing. Additionally, he is highly experienced in obesity management and the coordination of care for complex chronic diseases, such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and inflammatory or autoimmune conditions. Beyond his daily clinical practice, Dr Cumming has contributed to medical advancement by serving as a Principal Investigator for clinical trials across various therapeutic areas, including vaccine development and chronic pain management.
