Dr Nitya Krishnamurthy

Dr Nitya Krishnamurthy is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a strong focus on promoting healthy ageing and preventing lifestyle-related chronic medical conditions, she is committed to delivering holistic healthcare tailored to each individual's unique needs. Dr Krishnamurthy believes in building long-term, trusting relationships with her patients, ensuring they feel supported and reassured at every stage of their health journey.

Dr Krishnamurthy completed her medical studies at the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in India, graduating in 2007. She subsequently relocated to the United Kingdom to undergo specialist training, successfully completing her General Practice training in the North-East of England. After working as a General Practitioner in the UK, she immigrated to Australia in 2020. She is a Fellow of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and holds membership with the Royal College of General Practitioners in the UK. Additionally, she is a member of the Australian Menopause Society and is board-certified in Lifestyle Medicine through the Australian Society of Lifestyle Medicine.

In her clinical practice, Dr Krishnamurthy enjoys all aspects of family medicine, with a particular interest in women's health during midlife and menopause. Her broad clinical expertise encompasses general medicine, chronic disease management, mental health, and palliative care. She is highly skilled in providing antenatal shared care, paediatric care, and family planning services, including the insertion and removal of contraceptive devices such as Mirena and Implanon. She also performs minor surgeries and provides medical termination of pregnancy services, ensuring a supportive and professional environment for all her patients.
