Dr Nitika Chavan

Dr Nitika Chavan is a highly dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive healthcare to patients of all ages. With a strong clinical background and a patient-centred approach, she is committed to delivering high-quality medical care. Her diverse clinical interests allow her to address a wide range of health concerns, ensuring that her patients receive well-rounded and personalised treatment.

Dr Chavan completed her basic medical degree and qualified as a Specialist Surgeon in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, a premier medical university. She subsequently worked within the National Health Service (NHS) in the United Kingdom, where she completed her Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) qualification in 2006. To further broaden her clinical expertise, she also obtained a Diploma in Paediatrics and Child Health. Committed to medical education, she serves as a General Practitioner Supervisor for trainees with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and holds an academic appointment as a Senior Lecturer.

Throughout her career, Dr Chavan has developed a profound interest in women's health, dermatology, and skin cancer medicine. After relocating to Australia, she pursued advanced training in skin cancer diagnosis and treatment, earning primary and advanced certifications in skin care medicine, skin surgery, and dermatoscopy. She is also fully accredited as a provider of advanced laser therapy for skin disorders. In addition to her work in general practice, she has contributed her expertise as a Senior Medical Officer in Dermatology at a major regional hospital, where she supported the department and ran a specialised melanoma clinic. Her clinical focus also encompasses paediatric care, aged care, and general family medicine.
