Dr Nindhi Ahilan

Dr Nindhi Ahilan is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing comprehensive, whole-person care. She believes in combining the advancements of modern medicine with evidence-based holistic approaches to support her patients' physical, mental, and emotional well-being. With a warm and reassuring manner, Dr Ahilan focuses on understanding each patient's unique health journey, helping them navigate complex and chronic health conditions with genuine empathy and a curious mind.

Dr Ahilan graduated with Honours from the University of New South Wales in 2004. Demonstrating an early interest in integrative health, she became the first student at her university to study Ayurvedic medicine in Kerala, India, as part of her medical elective. She went on to complete extensive hospital training across metropolitan and regional health centres before qualifying as a General Practitioner in 2010. Committed to continuous learning, she obtained a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2010, a Diploma in Botanical Medicine in 2021, and a Fellowship of the Australian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine (FACNEM) in 2025. She is an active member of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, the Australian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine, and Doctors for the Environment Australia, and she has also served as an Examiner for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

In her clinical practice, Dr Ahilan has pursued extensive further training in integrative, nutritional, and environmental medicine. She has a particular interest in gut health, women's health (including bioidentical hormone therapies), and environmental health, such as Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome. She is also deeply passionate about managing metabolic conditions like insulin resistance and diabetes. By combining conventional general practice with functional medicine, Dr Ahilan works collaboratively with her patients to identify the root causes of their symptoms and develop personalised, long-term wellness strategies.
